Nike began implenting this back in 2018 if I remember correctly. I was told it was a board priority and considered everything from IT outages to earthquakes to active shooter scenarios. They even had a volunteer first responder team with ac

Learning a language is so misunderstood. Too many visuals and memorization practices. Babies learn by trying to get reactions from parents. The pimsleur method is still the best.

Intel is really struggling right now, but I still have hope. We need some more competition in the consumer GPU market.

This article expresses a common sentiment among those of us who grew up with web1. However, by now I think we've found our places where the internet is still fun. There's still some forums and chat rooms that keep things interesti

I didn't expect IO to be number #2. I work in crypto and for some reason I expected XYZ to be on this chart but it's not.

Reminds me of the ATT outage late last year. We never got a good answer on why that happened. I wonder if they'll try to spin this one out of the cycle as well.

I loved the original book. Looking forward to seeing a new perspective and getting Malcolm's thoughts on some recent events.

This is absolutely hilarious. I definitely remember cheering inside everytime the logo hit the corner.

It's a little scary to see that half the world still doesn't use 2FA. This is probably expected, but we need to do more evangelizing. I purchased my whole family FIDO keys a few Christmases ago.

Looks like the article points towards smoking and obesity mostly. Could be worse due to food deserts and lack of health care.

WordPress never gets the credit it deserves in the community. It still runs most of the web and seems to be the preferred intranet site software everywhere I've ever worked.

This should provide a good experiment on the impact of Social media on mental health I imagine.

This is actually great advice for writers. Simple and effective, but will inspire writers block and help me make my writing less boring.

I agree with the article when it mentions speculation that this is correlated with commercial real estate spend. I keep hearing about a commercial real estate market crash.

FYI this isn't a very "technical" analysis at least from a tech perspective. Definitely still too early to say, but hopefully this gets updated as we learn more.

I'm of 2 minds on this. Not everyone can compete remotely and some jobs genuinely require in person collaboration, but whether or not this is a good idea really depends on Amazon's strategy, which most of us might not be privy to.

Okay, this is actually pretty cool. I wouldn't call the dependency on cloud flare decentralized, but this is a huge iterative improvement to the web I wish we had prior to social media. Imagine having this pre html MySpace pages. An en

An increase in demand coming from investment in datacenters combined with an infrastructure change (potentially detrimental by reducing dependence on coal and natural gas) is not only bad for consumers, but also for national security.

I'd love a technical write up on how this is possible. Is it RF based or the battery being exploited?

An amazing explainer. As far as I know this has been fixed by Apple, but they also just dropped their case against one company that claims to still have an exploit. More articles like this will force accountability.

Algorithms ruined the promise of web1. I remember the narrative being about the lone artist finding his audience. Now we all listen to the same music. AI will only make this worse.

This is a sign. Coffee stations are one thing, but phone benefits will impact people's ability to coordinate. Intel needs a wartime CEO ASAP.
