Only way to find out about this 64€ editor is thru trailer or downloading beta? Did anyone try it? If they are going to sell this, they should make a comparison chart against free products like Atom and VS Code (which is still quiet immatur

Interesting, I find answers from DuckDuckGo more relevant: http://i.imgur.com/Dg96e42.png all hits are on the title. I didn't get the one intended by parent from Google though.

What are the alternatives really? I'd love to get rid of KeePass, it's GUI is awful, it really doesn't support OS X (unless some really technical person installs it). I'm unwilling to use commercial closed, cloud based p

uBlock has a lot of external lists as default. I don't think uBlock team maintains the lists, and it just makes sense to include lists created by others. If you made such extension how would you be sure the lists included by default wo

I don't have a great need for VPS, but I still like running a few. I have never tried Amazon VPS because their pricing calculation is really confusing, especially when I just want smallest VPS to play with. This announcement is just as

Yes, this is pretty bad for Apple, I wonder if they find a way to extort this poor man to remove it. I also liked the fact YouTube started to play "New iOS 8 Mail App: Here's Why It Is Impressive!" video automatically after t

It's nice. However text is too small. They should try to mimick TV font sizes, that is huge so one can read them without focusing on the text.

Django should have some simple plugin install system built-in, auto update capability like in WordPress. It's not friendly to test different modules as one must always dig the settings.py and hunt the docs of relevant modules.

I can't imagine using RethinkDB until the query language ensures type safety. The article touts about SQL being full of strings, but ironically there are fully typed query builders for SQL but not for RethinkDB. All DB tables has schem

There was (or is?) also fork of PostgreSQL which implemented streamed queries. It was way ahead it's time, maybe it's dead by now. But they still have the site here, weirdly named TelegraphCQ: http://telegraph.cs.berkel

You should try WebSharper http://websharper.com/ , it generates JavaScript out of F#.

For me the TS is a tool to ensure my code is not using deprecated API. This is a partly reason why Facebook is also pushing typing to JS with Flow. Edit: And Guido is pushing it to Python with PEP 484: https://www.python.org/

I wish they did official TypeScript definition files. I'm a bit wary to rely on huge DB API with community definitions only. There are reasons to write TypeScript definitions for documentation generation too, if not for the code as TS.

Must be frustrating for Crockford to be in TC39. He didn't like class keyword, thought typing (TypeScript etc) is a wrong direction. This (albeit it began 2013, but it was just updated) library does not mention ES6 Promises, proposal f

As long as typed syntax of Flow and TypeScript are compatible, it doesn't matter what they do with Flow. There are things Flow gets right compared to TypeScript. For instance requiring to check the nullness when using the question mark

Helsinki is building a new library, to be ready 2017. I think they've taken steps toward future of libraries. With more focus on spaces, and learning. I think this is the key here, if the physical books gets marginalized it should re-b

I have used Google Spreadsheet as a database, the hassle is not worth it. You need to do some serious caching: insert caching, update caching etc. The API calls weren't very sturdy few years ago. Even then you hesitate to give rights t

I wish news sites had a periodical system built-in. One could choose the period, e.g. 7 days to the past, and see all important news from that time-frame. It would of course require a human to tag the news as important within a period. Subs
