Btw, have you read this: https://async.rs/blog/stop-worrying-about-blocking-the-new-a... async-std allows to run blocking calls without hoops rather efficiently: async fn read_to_string(path: impl AsRef<Path>

It's very nice that this is done with Rust, because I'd love to get rid of AutoHotkey in Windows (which also trivally support this kind of expansions). Do you plan to release individual components as crates? I don't see mysel

I agree, unfortunately MDN has it's own type definition format "Web IDL". This means community must write the type definitions twice, once for specification in Web IDL and second time in TypeScript to get proper IDE support.

In this case the framework means set of dependencies. If you want to parse short-opts, long-opts etc. you need dependencies in most languages. Python is an exception, because of batteries included approach. With Rust you will soon see that

Great! I didn't know that. I did notice that if you write "python" on Command Prompt of fresh Windows 10, it throws you to the Microsoft Store to install python. Which is kind of cool too.

With password storing, you want to cover your ass. One way to do it is follow guidelines of known authority, e.g. NIST or OWASP. OWASP has nice document: https://cheatsheetseries.owasp.org/cheatsheets/Password_Stor...

Does Swift's concurrency plan include thread-safety guarantees? I would like to see a higher level language than Rust that includes similar thread-safety guarantee "Thread safety isn't just documentation; it's law".

How does that differ from cache manifest (see link [1])? It's now being replaced with service workers, but largely storing the dependencies on first refresh is what it does. [1]: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cache

Yes. Svelte 3 is built with TypeScript in mind. Although since it was not originally built with that in mind it might still have some janky stuff, like some refactoring does not work.
