We're also in an era when the speed of laptop and desktop CPUs has essentially stalled. Put another way, if our apps hog more resources there aren't necessarily faster machines we can buy.

App Store revenue is a drop in the bucket for Apple. The App Store's raison d'être is to drive more hardware sales.

Sure, I just don't think we should make broad claims about the will of the people vs. consent to govern in broad way. To put another way, Americans may be happy to say they are against regulations, but yet still may favor a particular

I don't remember this issue coming up at all during the presidential election. Although, I'd wager even if it had, the outcome of the election would not have been altered in any significant way.

Unless you're a celebrity, Tweeting for change is probably worse than pointless, but it can be cathartic. Meanwhile, protests have actually spurred change throughout history. See Gandhi, the Civil Rights movement, Tea Party protests, t

Serious question, does this guy actually know how to deal with populism? Chavez died of cancer, he wasn't defeated politically. Current day Venezuela is led by Chavez's former Vice President.

Agreed. Vader staring at Leia's ship as it escapes would have been a better ending. I'm not sure why the writers put so little faith in the audience to connect the obvious dots.

I'm hoping my 2012 MBP lasts another 6 months so I can pick up one of these machines from Apple’s refurbished store. $300 cheaper the new models look a lot more compelling.

At Apple's last event they said they were the number 2 watchmaker by revenue. They can't have gotten there by only selling to techies. Anecdotally, I see tons of Apple Watches around Manhattan.
