I love the 3:2 displays on the Pixelbook and Microsoft Surface devices. So much better for productivity.

As long as wages continue to rise, this is great news for the vast majority of Americans that are in debt. Congratulations, your mortgage and student loans aren’t as a big relative to your income.

I always thought it was a shame that the Director's Cut, which is what Paramount+ is remastering, wasn't originally done in 4K. The Director's Cut was released in 2001, and BluRays came along only five years later.

MS wanted the web tied to IE and Windows, but I don’t recall them trying to kill the web or positioning themselves to take a percentage of all web commerce.

As someone that has regularly meditated for years now, I still wouldn’t say sitting alone with nothing to do is an enjoyable experience. You can turn it into an opportunity for meditation or other types of deep thinking, but that’s more lik

FWIW, they do offer free games to Pro subscribers. It’s just not even close to as generous as what you get from GamePass.

Sounds like 10X may never see the light of day. Too bad, since the Surface Neo with 10X seemed like a great idea.

Google used to offer the ability to filter out domains from your results, but they haven't for years now. I suppose a client side extension could do the trick. It might be a good option for a side project if anyone is feeling generous

So you run a Linux box using Parallels and use VS Code or something on the Mac side to edit files? I'm interested in adopting a similar workflow, so your guidance would be appreciated.

Isn't that more or less what Grammarly Premium can do? I'm not a subscriber, but their site says it offers suggestions on tone and clarity.

I’m always impressed with how much stuff the VS Code team packs into each release. Also, I love their format for release notes; the animated screen caps are particularly great. Kudos.

This is what's going to kill the search engine ad market if the algorithm designers aren't careful.

True, but since most ads are also trackers, it does a decent enough job for me.

The only adblocker I’ll install is Privacy Badger from EFF. If the EFF starts injecting malware, I think I’ll go ahead and stop using the internet and move to a cabin in the woods.

Unless you need a monster dedicated GPU, you could get a Mac Mini. Or if you need GPU power and you have money to burn, you could get a Mac Pro. No screens attached.
