This type of thing is going to send us back into some type of information dark age. If I was an author in 2023, I'd be doing print only else I know my work will probably be stolen by Google and Open AI the minute it's online. Taki

What do you suppose they use then? Considering they don’t do one thing at a time. My point is we can keep justifying everything we do as necessary but Google is burning a lot of energy to sell adds (which let’s face it, does use a whole DC)

There definitely seems to be a lot of assumptions being made the AI won't have qualia, let's hope the assumptions remain true, but I don't imagine it will be the case forever?

How do you suppose we do this? It makes decisions based on numbers alone ? Personally, I don't think there is a right decision, it was just a decision which had an outcome, for some people it was ab absolutely fucking devastating decis

The issue is these things become real when the populists get voted in. So it’s not just a fantasy.

But what is really good and bad? We’re imprinting this into the machines but we don’t always have a grasp on this ourselves. Was the use nuclear weapons at the end of WW2 good or bad ? For example …
