Read about model collapse. The TL;DR is garbage in, garbage out. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model_collapse

You're not mistaken. They had a default enabled whitelist of advertisers that were paying them to be there. Basically a racket.

YouTube bitrot is real in the sense that over the years, they've re-encoded everything multiple times, resulting in older content looking absolutely terrible. This includes dropping higher resolution options. They don't even seem

I remember reading the origin article for that prompt example and laughing at how long it likely took to write that essay when typing "hikes near San Francisco" into your favoured search engine will do the same thing, minus the ha

It's not about a single question, it's about all of them that don't do anything to further the process. They're a waste of time for people who have options - in other words, the people you want to hire. If a company want

Had a look at the questions they ask applicants to answer in the hopes of even receiving a response and I'm not terribly surprised that people might not want to fill it out. Aside from the invasive questions... > Here's a fun q

I know this is a discussion about C but I'll add that C++ removed the newline requirement.

Yes, it potentially could be optimised out, which is why platforms provide functions like SecureZeroMemory() for cases where you want to be sure that memory is zeroed out.

I think others have said it well enough, but you're mixing the VPS business model up with cloud. It's in the interests of cloud providers to have you utilising resources because that's how you're billed. VPS and dedicat

That's a classic. It's incredible that it's taken Microsoft literal decades to fix that issue. The old recommendation was to hide desktop icons but even that doesn't fully solve it. Garbage collecting them into another d

Sounds like you weren't working with C++'s string API. std::string knows nothing about the encoding of the data it encapsulates and can be used to store anything. There are the codecvt functions but it doesn't sound like you&
