Firefox is absolutely abysmal at not corrupting its JSON stores, too. I've had it crash and lose tabs so many times. Perhaps moving back to SQLite wouldn't be a bad idea. I had to recover somebody's bookmarks for them recentl

Good old Halo 2 stand-bying. An absolute plague.

Similar to the old game development trick of hiding some memory away and then freeing it up near the end of development when the budget starts getting tight.

Sure, I just explained why they probably aren't there. Every GPU that gamers cared about isn't as catchy, I suppose.

Because consumers don't care about them, probably. They're never going to be remembered fondly like gaming cards.

I noticed that the list seemed a little Nvidia heavy when there were absolutely other cards that deserved a mention in the earlier years.

Nah, YouTube is absolutely shoving slop at users. They recently removed some of the search filters such as sorting by date, just to make it a little bit harder to find anything.

You can use page fragments to get close enough. I hacked this together in Varnish with custom headers handled by the backend before it was an actual feature. A bit of a pain but eminently doable, even years ago

I can understand the motivation here. One of my hobby open source projects includes multiple services and I don't want to have to start and stop them individually just to test anything. They're designed to run standalone since it&

It's far more complicated than that and ended up in court. They own the commercial rights after a legal battle with Blizzard (and Riot was in the fray, somewhere), who retained some rights to the name. Valve's 'Dota' doe

The Atari that may have paid for development no longer exists. This is a skin suit of a legal entity.

It's similar to Valve and Dota2. We all know what it means but officially, it isn't actually DotA and doesn't stand for anything. They will never refer to the game as Defense of the Ancients. Seems to have worked for them. Wo

Most games aren't shipping with full-fat unicode support or typefaces that could display those icons, though. Plus it'd start to break down with controllers that aren't simple A/B/X/Y.

Not sure what to take away from this. __abstract works because GCC allows it as an alias to __abstract__, not because parsing the syntax is forgiving. Abstractions do exist (disagreeing with the single other post in here) and they also exis
