Seems like a misleading title to me. "Disney, Electronic Arts, Gameloft, Glu, Kabam, Rovio, Storm8, and Zynga," employ many developers; certainly more than 25.

Hi Barry! I help run App Academy (appacademy.io), a hacker academy based in SF. Feel free to reach out to us (contact@appacademy.io) if you have any questions about our program! Here's a list of hacker academies to get you started: http://

It does exist! Check out Avdi Grimm's pair programming/coaching services: devblog.avdi.org/pair-programming-services/. If you're looking for a real reboot, consider Hacker School (hackerschool.com) or App Academy. Disclaimer: I'm one of the

We ask all students to put down a $3,000 fully refundable deposit. There are clearly defined rules for deducting from the deposit (e.g., arrive late for class: $10, etc.). The money deducted does not go to us, but is distributed evenly amon

The demand for both Rails and iOS devs in SF is huge, the market is nowhere near saturated. It's really the opposite: as Devbootcamp gains success, the applicant and recruiting company pools grow larger. We taught Ruby/Rails for the first 3

We'd be happy to consider you for our Rails class. Let me know if you're interested in that course, and I'll transfer your application over!

There will be some time period, but it will vary from student to student. We'll discuss what makes sense for each student as part of the application process.

This fell through the cracks. It's our fault: it's our responsibility to keep track of applications. If you're willing to give us a second chance, I'd be happy to port over your friend's application. You can reach me at kush@appacademy.io.

Hi! Thanks for the kind words! They mean a lot to us. 1. We help you arrange housing by connecting you to other App Academy students moving to SF, as well as by connecting you to local hacker/startup houses, but ultimately accommodation is

This is a bit hacky, but you can set up pingdom (or new relic) to ping your (toy/side project) apps every few minutes. This essentially ensures that you never have to wait for heroku's spin up time. cf. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5

David & Christian are a great team, and there's nobody I'd like to see attacking this problem more. I'm sure they will do amazing things for their women students. I have taken a class with Christian before, and all I can say is this: dr

Yeah, generally you don't have time for a full-time job on top. The idea is to save up what you can before the hacker school. Part time consulting gigs during the hacker school may also be an option.
