Last year, North Sea wind parks produced at full capacity for more hours than french nuclear plants. The advantage of nuclear is of course that to some degree you can schedule the shut-downs. Solar will make energy production essentially fr

Those people didn't build the CUDA ecosystem. nVidia, Google and Facebook did. I think your hypothesis is pretty self-serving. nVidia is dominant now. The question is, what's your wedge.

The most recent "card" is their MI300 line. It's annoying as hell to you and me that they are not catering to the market of people who want to run stuff on their gaming cards. But it's not clear it's bad strategy to

2005 is when the Wikipedia table starts. The premise of your "they should have invested in Firefox" is just flawed. They are spending by far the most money on Firefox, always have. And Firefox has always been a perfectly fine brow

Mozilla is also making 10x as much revenue as 15 years ago, has massively increased cash reserves, and is finally starting to diversify its income streams. And it's absurd to put the fault for the declining market share purely at the f

The mechanism is clear: If you use Open Source software commercially, you are now liable if the software misbehaves. Thus, you have an incentive to make sure the software is correct. For (A)GPL software, you have to publish your contributio
