Brilliant. I'm someone that over-analyzes every purchase even if it's at a price I'll never notice. This is great advice. The thought-hours and calories I've spent on "finding the best choice" for things that

Honestly, except for the commissions bit (I never had a commission job), that describes every retail job I had as a kid. I think margins are too thin to focus on cleaning, maintenance, and break rooms. I usually took my breaks anti-social

Great work! I'm a person that thinks of every purchase in terms of amortization, or my periodic cost for lifetime, this suits me!

I agree with another poster that it's likely aerodynamics. But, it reminded me of an incident when I was a kid. In a minivan, all windows open, highway speeds. Driver hit a swarm of bees. I've never seen a density of bees like i

I joined HN after feeling the /. community that I had loved became too... negative and political than I liked. I asked around about another community and that's when I first learned about HN.

Your point stands, but a nitpick - don't forget overhead. You should roughly double engineer salary to cover overhead, so it's 146 engs at 150k (still good), or 75 engs at 300. Either way, the deal should be possible.

I'm sorry I still don't understand and I hope you will clarify. You bought at $400 and expect that to be a good investment? How will the longs that bought above arbitrary number $20 benefit in the long term?
