Is there evidence that our culture is becoming less healthy? It seemed to me that we, meaning the US as a whole, have been building better habits. I feel that this is an economic issue more than anything else.

In my experience, namedtuples have significantly less overhead than classes.

SETIs are what SETs used to be. TEs are different. So SETI == SET but SETI != TE and SET != TE

It's a little bizarre to introduce someone to torrents when you can use google images. Especially someone who is struggling to grasp computing as a whole.

That's vastly different. 1. You aren't living with authority figures. The RA's that you live with are also students. So minimal conflict of interest in living your life. 2. You don't expect to live there indefinitely 3.

Lidar doesn't make sense for Tesla with the failure rate alone. They're mechanical devices, and they often have defects when produced at scale. They need to be replaced very often. This makes sense when you're doing vehicles

IIRC Tesla's margins are typically higher than competitors. They only lose money on each car because the R&D budget is wrapped into that. They lose money because they're investing into scale.

That's not true. Apple owns the high end market almost entirely, so it's arguable that Android just isn't able to compete with Apple at that point. So the high price point will just keep the phone from selling at all.

You can get your old texts via encrypted backup. Apple doesn't store them server side. It's not a migration issue.

Really wish this article had more details. How much better was the treatment? What kind of leukemia? It's pretty vague.
