For me I think a laptop is good enough for distraction-free typing as long as it has no internet access.

The contrast enhancement seems simpler to perform with an unsharp mask in the continuous image. It probably has a different looking result, though.

The thing is, Unity was great as a UI even on desktop. The main issue was poor performance early on.

Huh? You reach towards the lens from the bottom left and thus a centered position puts a corner of the camera body in the way.

Road throughput doesn't solve congestion when road throughput isn't the issue. They are trying to widen the NJ Turnpike but the congestion isn't because 6 lanes aren't enough, the congestion is because the three Hudson c

I have a kettle with 5°-settable temperature targets that has transformed my tea drinking. It also has a function to hold temperature for up to 30 minutes, and because it has actual logic going on inside, when you lift it off the base it kn

Tg changes? Or do you mean they deflect sooner under more load?

There are some incredibly low Tg epoxies out there, such as West Systems 105 where "TG onset" is 54°C and the heat deflection temperature is even lower.

I think the main issue is that many filament manufacturers mislead or outright lie about their filament capabilities.

Some manufacturers fudge the Tg. Polymaker Polylite ABS has a claimed Tg of 101°C but the HDT curve clearly shows it starting to lose strength at 50°C, for example.

It was an intake manifold, so it's continuously under suction. At the temperatures in an engine bay the plastic probably gradually creeped to a point where the restriction increased the suction and suddenly it collapses completely.

I wonder what material it was printed with. edit: It was ABS-CF, which shouldn't be used under stress long-term in higher temperatures than maybe 65-70°C, or lower depending on the blend.

One more suggestion: if the camera is below the ground, hide the ground texture.

I got one random plane that was black instead of color-coded by altitude. Bug? https://imgur.com/a/YLxRaQ6 Another bug: when you adjust altitude scale, it doesn't rescale the existing trails, it simply moves the p

It's nowhere near as good as hydrogen for ISP, it's just slightly better than RP1. And it has lower density than RP1 as well. It's a good compromise, however, as well as being cheap and easy to simulate the combustion of.

I feel like the metric needs to be "greatest distance of road from solid ground" or "greatest distance from linear interpolation between ground attachment points".

I saw this in Secaucus where it was in a pretty cool location. Then it moved to the town where I lived at the time and I wondered how much less interesting it would be in a flat field next to the public works department.

My opinion on column stagger ergo keyboards: everyone's hands differ, and there is no one-size-fits-all. The amount of pinky stagger and the thumb cluster position are critically important for comfort. Personally I use a handwired Mi

The only actual benefit I find it has over a well-maintained sharp chef knife is the non-stick aspect, which looks really nice but not $300 nice IMO. Most people don't sharpen their knives enough and therefore they have to expend a lot

Doing some pixel counting suggests a nacelle diameter of approximately 152 inches, which is close to the 155 inches of the A350's Trent XWB or the smaller of the various 777 engines (in particular, not the largest GE90).

I would love to add it to my 1Ds3. I recall reading that once upon a time Canon wrote ML devs a strongly worded letter telling them not to touch a 1D, but a camera that old is long obsolete. (I literally only want a raw histogram) (I also
