Well, part of their strategy is to be able to much more rapidly design a wide variety of specialized parts, such as their ability to generate the specification computationally in 15 minutes. They recognize that the needs of the market are c

The twin instruction streams have the advantage in that the instructions are split between two completely separate caches that can have reduced latency relative to (total) capacity, bringing benefits in the case of branch mispredict.

I leave tap water in a carafe in my refrigerator overnight before drinking it, and even that tastes dramatically different when warm than when fresh out of the fridge.

I'd certainly be all for web pages with QML performance. QML is a tremendously easy way to leverage OpenGL acceleration.

The dehumidification is done before the precooler, I'd expect. They seem to inject it at the end, collect it somehow, then inject it upstream of the first injection location, then collect it again, then inject again upstream of that...

Closed back headphones don't offer as much "soundstage" as open-back headphones. With open-back headphones things really sound like they're coming from outside of your head, which is critical for the 3d sound illusion.

I have an older 2012 Gazelle Pro with a wide-gamut TN screen. It's fast and quiet, the keyboard and touchpad are decent, and the screen is mostly good. I don't know about new ones, but that version is SUPER easy to clean out: remo

You still have depth perception with one eye...you get parallax from head movements. When viewing photos you don't get any parallax. I wonder if there could be experiments using VR to measure this effect?

A long time ago there were cars with the shoulder belt attached to a motorized track on the door frame that would pretty much force you to wear it...only for the front seats though. Maybe instead of a power button, cars should turn on when

I have the same Etymotics earplugs as someone in an above comment. They were the best 15 dollar purchase I've ever made. I wear them even in only moderately loud situations. Unlike foam earplugs, the only part that is visible is clear

I imagine more advanced things like face recognition and such are not so simple, but from my experience writing a raw converter, a lot of image processing is far simpler than you'd expect.

Many ordinary shop air nozzles are supersonic; you can see they have a convergent-divergent nozzle (or are an aerospike) like a "real" rocket. That's not such a big deal.
