The purpose of the compressor is simply to compress the air. It's one step of the Brayton Cycle which is used in gas turbines to convert heat energy into mechanical energy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brayton_cyc

Rain-X has wiper fluid that reapplies the treatment somehow. I haven't needed to manually reapply in over three years.

Sorry, that's just my assumption (though I'd be willing to bet on it). The circular graph reminds me of nothing more than the image of baobabs swallowing up a miniature planet.

Yup, I hit tab a few times, and I also expected it to automatically convert .'s to ->'s. But despite that I still managed about 60 wpm and 95% accuracy on the snippets I tried.

My 2004 Prius (which should have the same behavior as your 2005) definitely doesn't have consistent brake response: the first inch or so of travel is completely electronic and when the battery is completely full (having gone down a lon

Toyota's hybrids have low maintenance costs; the transmission varies the gear ratio by electronic means and is overall far simpler than either a manual or automatic.

Those were the NK-33's used on Antares, until one of them failed and caused the loss in 2014... The RD-180 in question, by contrast, is newly manufactured specifically for the Atlas rockets.

On the other hand, it matters how many people are involved in the operation. A small two or three-person tech startup making a million dollars is different from a restaurant with thirty (? estimate) employees making a million dollars.

People buy bottled water for the taste, not for the cleanliness. If you have bad tap water, it's not like you can just shop around for another provider. But bottled water does actually compete on taste; I do prefer some brands over oth

I drive a Prius. If you don't jam on the accelerator, it responds instantly. If you try to accelerate very quickly, it pauses to let the engine spool up, causing that sense of hesitation. But a little tap on the pedal at low speeds can

Why would it be? It's not like trying to coordinate rowers in crew; you have full, absolute, instantaneously-responding control over the motors, as well as information on exactly how fast they're going, how much force they're

Separate motors for front and rear wheels is far less complex than adding more moving parts. For AWD, you need a driveshaft and a differential. The differential has a lot of parts, there are a lot of bearings that sap power, and it adds a

Raw files store only one channel per pixel. A TIFF has been demosaiced and stores 3 channels per pixel. On top of that, most sensible raw formats only store 12 or 14 bits per pixel, instead of 16. And then most are compressed, some lossless

Mechanically it's far simpler than any conventional transmission. Automatic transmissions are incredibly complex, filled with several planetary gearsets and many clutch packs. A Toyota hybrid has exactly one planetary gearset, and some
