If Google will comply with an order to remove apps from the store in certain regions then they can certainly comply with orders to filter push messages destined for specific apps as well.

What's the big deal? Saying REST conveys the idea that it's for working with app specific JSON or XML over HTTP.

I wish Telegram would just adopt the double ratchet and make everything E2E by default. I don't see what they would have to lose by doing so. Their secret chats are so annoying. No multi device support. And the cleartext everything by

Completely agree. It's crappy, expensive and on top of that it's the least trustworthy company to host with. Unless you need to be behind the great firewall I can't see any reason to touch them.

Well, they could just deploy something more or less centralized and claim they've solved the problem in their marketing, just as they have done with their encryption claims.

No, there isn't. Try it and you'll be put under house arrest or worse, and you won't get any due process.

This post is an interesting analysis of the wallets referenced in the lawsuit. Apparently neither Wright or Kleiman ever controlled any of them. http://blog.wizsec.jp/2018/02/kleiman-v-craig-wright-bitcoin...

Yeah, I wish there were a special place in hell reserved for patent trolls, but undermining contracts retroactively is not something to be taken lightly.

Another factor to consider is the content of each commit. Is it just copying from another project or making trivial changes, or is there real work being done?

How much Tether out of thin air would it take to do that? There's only $2B tether in total, but BTC alone trades $8B every day. And that's down a lot compared to the last few months.

I vouched this comment because it quotes relevant information from the RMG web site. My guess that the token is irredeemable is incorrect, though my general lack of enthusiasm for this offer remains. What I would like to see is a token acce

I predict autocrypt will get basically zero adoption because no mail clients with significant user bases will bother with it, and the rest are web apps anyway. It would be nice if there were a signal client that looked like an email client,

Your suggestion just isn't realistic when you look at how VoIP systems work in practice. What you usually have are SIP clients talking to SIP servers which then involve a bunch more servers and proxies and a slew of other protocols. SI

This sham site can't reliably say anything. It returns results of things I didn't touch and fails to show anything I did download and seed. You'd think it would be technically easy to get this right.
