I have no idea if your point of view is sysadmin, devops, developer (front end/backend?), employee, and/or freelancer. I like docker because I am all of those, despite never actually using docker on the production/deployment

If you consider the bottom tier of entry level people with weak or empty CVs, the difficulty from skill-set alone skyrockets before you factor in how privileged you'd have to be to do this for free in your spare time.

Sure, if you want to designate any random aggreement as a full on best-friends-for-life alliance, you do you, buddy. But the facts remain, Germany and the USSR were delivered facto enemies who were looking to destroy each other the first ch

No it's the opposite, static websites are just static files, they work without requiring backends. JavaScript on the front-end is usually static files, but this enables first class support for modern JavaScript while losing nothing els

Because you get first class support for modern JavaScript while staying true to being a static site first.

It's probably completely hyperbolic. No way it should take days unless you're trying to retrofit a legacy project and learn it at the same time.

A non-aggression pact is not an alliance, nor does it make an ally. Hitler fundamentally hated the communists, but was also desperate to prevent the USSR from joining the war. Stalin also fundamentally hated the Nazis.

In every ORM I've ever used, everything is a prepared statement by default, so I've only been comparing 100 separate database call updates vs 100 updates concatenated as a single database call and 100 updates as a single update ca

I don't think using a prepared statement 100 times will have anywhere close to the same performance improvement as sending one concatenated bulk update or one update set case.

The ORM likely does use prepared statements, it's that most ORMs by default makes 100 round-trip IO operations (one for each update). The code would need to be rewritten without the ORM to send all the updates as one database call. The

I think he was saying that concatenating 100 updates into one database API call is faster and/or better than using a case statement like that. Both methods will be faster than sending 100 separate update. postgre API calls.

To me, that sense of security is not false (even 90% reliable is better than 0%). And to suggest that type systems are a contributory factor to developers writing functions/classes that are too large is completely unsubstantiated.

There's actually several options, there is a react-native bridge for VueJS, there is quasar, NativeScript (recently started supporting VueJS), but I don't think the VueJS community has settled on a single solution.
