Docker's mistake is bundling swarm and throwing away regular docker-compose with services. The bigger mistake was presenting them as they worked perfectly, just because in the sake of a badly timed DockerCon (seriously why the hell do

I also assumed the new easy swarm would be easier, but the Multi-host network only works with the newly introduced service command only, it does not work with regular docker run command, which is disappointing because you still neeed a thir

It is great. My mobile career exposed a huge /8 network and we could even scan it to find some lonely IoT devices with default root passwords with masscan in minutes.

Reporting from Ankara, capital. Ongoing sonic booms followed by bombings. Scary as hell. My niece is 8mo, in each jet and helicopter pass we take cover on her and we baricated home with tables. No one knows what is going on, and media claim

Seems really nice. Would love to see it how it compares to Ceph, we were considering Ceph for our container storage. For starters, it seems much more simpler to deploy.

Tabs please, I love it but no tabs are killing me. It is nice to see it is getting attention and we will hopefully see it in 1.2.

Init should be just this: http://git.suckless.org/sinit/tree/sinit.c , systemd incorparates too much funcitonality IMO, I cant get used to it. Well, but its a free world, I have even written a Go init, some guy di

Not related to Go plugin, but in VsCode I hate the tabs in the left panel, feels very different and I could not even adjust it after 6 months. However, the Go plugin is really nice and works perfectly, even, the debugger works /most of

Despite being a great work, delve is slow and sometimes might skip some of my breakpoints and have problems in debugging goroutines.

I would just love some IDE-debug love and better packaging. More packages I use and more I distribute my files, compilation takes considerably longer. Maybe I do not know, but is there some process to compile some parts before hand and link

I did not know we could have ip=dhcp option, but I will need to create a network manager now or later, but for trying out some stuff, I can use that flag. Also, I will not bundle services to init, it will be just forking, signaling and wait

Yeah, you are right. Go is too heavy weight. But the nice thing in Go 1.4+, you can install go std and dynamically link your applications. I will do it in the next blog posts to save some space, but yeah, I would still need some huge lib.

Well I would say memory safety, not necessarily garbage collection. It was also a bit overstatement but I would really love memory safety for many core utilities.

Thank you. I found it easier to develop in Go and I use Go in the work environment heavily. But compared to C/C++, I think having a garbage collector is a must for modern init, and I will write all the other utilities in Go as well for

I just love the ability to GROUP BY queries, they work so fast and saves me from writing a stupid map-reduce style job for that basic thing. I am building a time series nice analysis product with it and this change would work very fine.

It uses DNS for only discovering the other containers within the same custom network, if query is not found the DNS redirects the queries to your own DNS server, I don't see how it can be worse than /etc/hosts solution.
