Drones are loud, because they have to move a lot of air in order to stay in the air. There is no way around that noise. Flying taxis and the like are only good for the few people sitting in one. They are very bad for everybody else.

Neither of you two provided a source, so I would tend to not believe either statement. I think society will learn to handle fake news in precisely this way. Worrying, however, is when the academic research that is given as a source, is guid

Encrypt each data set with a public key. Have the private key in a bank safe. That way, if they need it as proof, they can just decrypt the data set. But if the data is stolen, it is of no use for the attacker.

It will be very interesting to see how China will react to this. Will they use the Tesla investment in the country to "convince" Musk to disable the signal when the satellites are over China? Or will they simply make the satellite

Accessing those satellites from China or Iran or North Korea and many other countries (though, why did you mention India?) will probably still be illegal. But there are many poor countries with rural areas that have almost no Internet acces

And it will (hopefully) be able to fly to the moon "for cheap" and put large, land-based telescopes in the best location there is for telescopes.

> The risk of being locked out For me, this is the main reason I try not to use any Google products, except for Gmail and Android. For mail, I started to migrate away from Google to reduce risk of being locked out.

That's great. But you are always just one unfortunate bug or mis-configuration away from having it happen. Sure, to most people it will never happen. But the risk is always there. Reminds me of https://en.wikipedia.org/

Fireproof safe? Just use a text file and encrypt it. Or a password manager file only for TOTP backups.

I noticed in the screenshots that KeePassXC can show TOTP for an entry. Doesn't it limit the usefulness of a TOTP, if both the password and the TOTP seed are stored in the same location? Or am I missing something?

Not yet, anyways. For IMAP email, there is Proton Bridge, to get around the fact that all data on their servers is encrypted with a key that only you have.
