Maybe he owns the technology that powers reddit, but he does not control the community. Social media platforms have fallen before. Reddit only gained traction after Digg fell.

Meh, I disagree with point 1. Any platform that is not federated or at the minimum open source will go the same way as Twitter, Reddit, or Myspace. The idea of reddit is bigger than one site, it's a replacement for the internet forums.

Yes but if I recall correctly, whatever you are subscribed to you still see in your feed, even if it’s blocked by the instance. I may be incorrect and if so please correct me.

I have been using 1password for the last few years. It’s been rock solid in the Apple ecosystem. I hear there is some issues with 1password 8 but I have stuck to 7 and loved it

I agree with this. SOPA, PIPA, Net Neutrality (RIP), Bernie Sanders gaining national recognition, and so many other positive Reddit things happened after his death.

That sounds a bit like Alexis Ohanian. Reddit really thrived under his leadership. Alexis approached reddit with curiosity and understanding. He was not a perfect leader, but he understood what reddit is. Everything implemented after Huff

I can't wait to come back to this comment in 5 years. Hacker News is always so critical of Apple's new products that turn out to be massive successes.

Hacker News is great for Tech news. But it's not so great at niche hobbies like reddit is.

This only works in countries where $5-10 is not much. Also this does not account for power users who can easily rack up enough API calls to put Christian in the red.

Not to mention, Good products sell themselves. Nintendo's marketing isn't that much different from anyone else. They just make products that people want to talk about.

It's too early to say it hasn't worked out. Apple is planned to reveal their headset this year. If thats the case, VR/AR may become the norm the same way Smart Phones and Smart Watches are. If you don't think Meta will r
