Are they though? A big fraction of those panels are made in countries other than China. The panels generally generate still more than 70% of their original power after 20 or 30 years. They're hardend against hail, can be insured and do

The turbines of ENERCON don't need "rare-earths", because of their ring generator https://www.enercon.de/technologie/komponenten/

If you're interested in the historical process, personally I like the videos of PBS Eons a lot: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=pbs+eons+coal

That's why we have wind energy in Germany. The wind is mostly strong in the winter and the sun in summer. Soon we will have energy from storage (hydrogen, thermal, and some batteries), too.

Incorrect. While would is part of it, there's also grass, leaves, and agricultural waste as well as biomass collected from water treatment plants.

A surplus is already generated on specific days. At the moment the extra energy is thrown away, in case you didn't know.

The surplus will be available soon. If you look at the trajectories of the installed capacity, it's obvious. Germany is in the process to switch over to electricity for heating, too. There are a lot of incentitives to install new heatp

Incorrect. Solar panels in Northern Europe provide plenty of energy. Additionally in the winter we have complementary wind production from our windfarms.

Germany produced 48% of its electricity via renewables this year so far. The surpluss energy will soon be used to electrolyze hydrogen that will be fed into our vast gas infrastructure.

We will produce the solar cells ourselves again and we have two of the biggest producers of wind power plants, so there's that. https://www.enercon.de/ https://www.siemens.com/

40% of our electricity comes from renewables already. And it would be much higher, if the Energiewende ("energy turn (to renewables)") hadn't been sabotaged by the same parties that wanted to use coal and gas (namely CDU and

For the moment. There's a strong urge in Germany to switch over to heatpumps and more renewables now. The gas is not coming back. The ministry of economy instructed city energy utilities to "stop investing" into their gas inf
