I agree. Had I been given the choice of no windows or no roommates, I would choose no roommates.

I second this. I would also add it negates my need to rent a car when traveling about 80% of the time.

Though some what off topic: Even though style may dictate a different carbonation level. Draft beer is typically carbonated to around 2.4 volumes so it pours on most draft systems at bars. If you carbonate beer to far above this amount of v

I wonder if there is a way to hedge the potential losses by picking an underlying asset that follows the rental market more closely? The best I can come up with is to own and rent a similar property to the one you would be renting via AirBN

I agree. I said something a couple of weeks ago that I no longer agree with and I am in my 40s. My mind can be changed, I see that as a positive.

I wish this library existed! I have been thinking about something like this for the past few years and how it could be accomplished.

My experience has been similar. I found in the short term I too wasn't transformed but after 15 years it is more apparent that the small changes that did take place during my travels have greatly shaped my life. A few things I can thin

I lived in Portland from 2001 to 2007. In the early 2000s I occasionally saw poop on the sidewalks and it felt to me the homeliness was confined to certain areas. I went back last June and was shocked about how the homeliness problem had gr

Maybe if the restaurant owned the building but otherwise the rent alone could chew through the profit of a restaurant or bar pretty fast. It is difficult to buy the building of a successful restaurant unless you had a right of first refusal

I agree that much of this is tribalism that exists in other parts of our culture (Ford vs Chevy, etc). However, in the 1990s, at least on the Apple side, it felt like we were fighting to hold on to resources that would go for supporting our

I disagree. Shipping for beer can be up to 20% of the cost depending on where it is coming from. One of the main reasons for the increase in cans for American craft brewers is that the freight savings (both in and out of the brewery) increa

I believe the airport in Minneapolis has this setup. I find it very alienating. I like human interaction when I eat out, it's one of the main reasons I do so.

I never used NeXTSTEP but I am always curious about what didn't make the transition to Mac OS X. Was the Digital Librarian different than Spotlight?

I agree. The only thing I don't like is the arrow key layout. I don't have strong feelings on the touch bar one way or another.

Partly the reason the United States doesn't use reusable bottles anymore is because breweries became national instead of regional in the 1960s and 1970s. When your brewery is located in the same state as the beer is consumed it is easi

I really liked the look of the Lincoln Continental but when I found out it wasn't rear wheel drive (or a rear wheel drive biased all wheel drive system) then I lost interest.

Its not a good solution but my plan is to purchase only fiction or items I don't plan on reading again. Unfortantly my local library will miss out as I typically give it the books I no longer need to keep as a reference.
