The creator of sqlmodel seems to be very busy with fastapi and other projects. Only so much you can do in a day, so progress is slowed down by that. Prisma looks nice. Is it a solo project mostly? Or is there a company paying for your time

I would pick what I know best and get the product out with that. Or better: I would pick the most popular framework I know best. Most known and good frameworks can do what you want. If the product becomes succesfull, scaling up your team wi

Commercial Banks print money. Central banks dont do that. Commercial banks create money with loans. If you pay back a loan, your money is removed from the system. Read this: https://themacrocompass.substack.com/p/tmc-6

Apparently the six dots at the end of my reply where not clear enough of an indication that this was sarcasm, a joke. A bad joke. Ah well.

Counter argument, I tried c/cpp/cmake development in vscode, but got so fed up with breaking plugins. Configuring… fixing new config options for plugins… Or spell checkersuggesting to rename functions i call… or duplicate shortcut

There are cooler frameworks, there are more minimal frameworks, there are more "modern" frameworks. Whatever that means. Yes I would like to work with FastAPI, it is great. But... Django gets the shit done. There are plenty of dev

Everything important, which was not already send by e-mail, is e-mailed to myself. I use gmail. When something is still on paper, I make a photo. If it is just a file I got from another medium, I just attach it. For note taking I prefer app

I was in the same boat around 2012. After 11 years of linux on the desktop and crappy student laptop, I needed a proper laptop for freelance jobs. Bought a macbook to put linux on. Ruined macos on day one. Reinstalled macos. Got used to it.

Really well done!! Looks great. Although price seems reasonable, it is still quite a lot of money. Did you actually sell screens already? I can imagine design stores want to sell this.

Always use absolute imports, do not use relative imports. Solves most problems. Also is recommended by pep8. Skip the relative imports in the article. No need to read it entirely anymore ;-)

The unresponsiveness of controls drive me nuts as well. Greasy or wet fingers makes it hard to use the controls. This is solvable with physical knobs. Also the power moves up and down in steps, induction alternates between on and off to del

Right now we (team of 12, 1 devops engineer) use mongodb atlas. While mongodb/nosql itself really is not giving us any value and that I really wished that postgresql was picked for our relational data, I must admit that atlas really is

There are decent adblockers for safari on both macOS and iOS. Mozilla makes one for iOS, Firefox Focus, which you can setup as a content blocker. KaBlock exists for safari on both macos and ios. And there are many more. Fwiw: Im using safar
