I thought you were referring to https://insideclojure.org/2018/05/04/add-lib/ which is an experimental feature of tools.deps.alpha. But sure, there could be an (add-lib ...) function in this environment

If you are running SCI on the JVM, then yes, it can do this, but this environment is running purely in your browser, no JVM back-end.

This environment is running with SCI ( https://github.com/babashka/sci ) and only in the browser. What you describe might be more suitable for an environment like replit: https://replit.com/new/cloju

It's experimental mostly because it's new and we don't have a lot of experience with this project yet, but so far it seems to do what it's supposed to do. Feel free to reach out on Github or Slack for issues/questio

Babashka is fast-starting but slow-running (compared to JVM Clojure). AOC puzzles typically contain a lot of loops so you will likely run into the slow-running-ness. But it shouldn't be much trouble to move to Clojure when you hit this

I'm not married to either one of the approaches and it's fairly trivial to switch between the approaches if I might change my mind.

Since this is my personal script, I'll take the trade-off of not being able to use $RET$. If I would have written a framework or library, I would have solved it more at the root level, but that wasn't a cost I was ready to pay at

Thanks for the feedback. I added the following: Octopress worked great for my blogging purposes and I'm grateful that it existed. However, in recent years I became frustrated with the experience of using it, which is probably due to a

Well yeah, that might be a good use case for nbb too: people who just want to try out a bit of "CLJS" without spending too much time on setup first.

Nbb is to CLJS what babashka is to JVM Clojure. Both scripting environments are implemented using SCI, a Clojure(Script) interpreter which re-uses all the core functions when you call those, the rest (creating vars, functions, namespaces) i

You are funny. If you don't see the value that's ok. The value for me is mostly that I enjoy writing CLJS more than JS. Although I don't hate JS, I just enjoy CLJS more.

These are just small examples by nature. See e.g. https://github.com/chr15m/c64core for a non-trivial project in nbb.

Thanks! Note that npx itself adds some startup time to the mix. It's usually faster when ran as a global command (which should be safe since nbb doesn't depend on any other node libraries). Notes on that here: https://g
