Maybe I missed some opportunities but with my later experience and in my line of work I got pushed towards webapps and these days PowerBI. I can make those work but I feel that as a beginner with VB6 I could build forms faster than I can do

I started programming with Visual Basic 6 and still feel robbed that in the 25 years of programming after I never built a native GUI.

Order matters, did they try to find consensus or did they just go ahead and implement something? The latter doesn’t lead to standards.

You walk around and see how people live and that the difference between the worst neighborhoods is much smaller than the US or even France. Another data point is that you will also see relatively little homeless people (compared to San Fran

By omitting the rest of the story what remained 'on paper' became false. That was my point.

No, the statement is mostly false. The famous Economics Explained video is debunked. Of course, there is inequality and maybe it is too much but is not of a ridiculous level compared to the rest of the world.

You have never been to the Netherlands, have you? Because those statistics you hint at are misleading at best.

In the case of the Netherlands, interest rate caps are already in place and payday loans don't exist. Furthermore, it's relatively easy to get help (but not fun) when you're bankrupt and to get out of this bankruptcy with a c

I use Edge on my work laptop and it’s fine. It has a vertical tabbar and some ad blocking built in which is nice. I still prefer Firefox but unfortunately I can’t on that thing.

I guess it depends, materialising all the steps might be slow and you might need to do a refactor to get a CTE-based query. If you want just want to check a few (maybe changing) records because you expect problems there a final select with

The trick is to change the name of the CTE in your final select. This will allow you to inspect that particular step. This works as long as your CTE’s are correct SQL and only the logic is wrong or suspect.
