Lighten up: "And thirdly, the code is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules." HN actually doesn't even call it rules but Guidelines in the footer.

That's an order of magnitude better but to nitpick: the amount is closer to $13M ;)

The article has the amount at USD 12,7m. That's a lot of money but quite a bit less than the title suggests.

I hope they only zero-count the first link. That allows 140 characters of commentary + the link and limits abuse.

Small note to dang about the title: here and in the original title is wrong. The name is 'Van den Driessche' so with the i and e switched.

Other than that: 'This is useful' ;) I believe something can be useful when I need to know it or when it is a good basis for other more applied topics.

It's just not true that it's an uncommon use, see [1] and [2]. So even with the profession left unspecified (which I believe it is, might have missed it) the entropy is less than 1 bit. [1]: http://www.wsj.com/arti

I created a resume in LaTeX using a template I found somewhere. If you know a bit of LaTeX, it's quite easy to make a good looking resume and of course, LaTeX is just plaintext you can put in a VCS.

How would you exploit this? What can you gain if you're already able to supply OpenSSL with a private key? Is there a way to supply or tamper with private keys remotely?
