How well tested is this in combination with encryption? Is the ZFS team handling encryption as a first class priority at all? ZFS on Linux inherited a lot of fame from ZFS on Solaris, but everyone using it in production should study the iss

You probably don’t realise how important encryption is. It’s still not supported by Proxmox, yes, you can do it yourself somehow but you are alone then and miss features and people report problems with double or triple file system layers. I

No, it is not good, please remove it. There are many devs with overlapping experiences. Bad decision to force people to put a stamp on them just to sign up!

What is the evidence for people being confused about that? Did any scientist some research about this, are there any facts or studies about this issue? Or does just someone think it is an issue?

Can you please give some more details about the pressure methods in mastodon you are writing about, this is very interesting and important. Is there any systematic study going on about the mechanism of censorship in the fediverse?

Proxmox looks great, but unfortunately it doesn’t come with encryption oob and manually applying it comes with feature loss and other problems. ZFS vs encryption is a bad place to live. You of course need encryption for your VMs on the Ente

Unfortunately until this day Proxmox doesn’t support full disk encryption oob, despite using the word „Enterprise“ in the first paragraph of their website. Yes, you can go your own way and install on an encrypted Debian, but you will miss i

In the Proxmox forum some people tried this method and do not report big success. Can not recommend for production. Still the same picture, encryption seems to be not a first class citizen in ZFS land.

I wanted to use ZFS badly, but of course all data must be encrypted. It was surprising to see how usage gets much more complicated than expected and so many people just don’t encrypt their data because things get wild then. Look, even Proxm

This discussion is about an open source password manager. I wonder why you are recommending a closed source software? Are you aware that many people prefer open source for security software for a reason?

Can you please provide a source for your information about Google handling login data? Your words are very interesting, but they would have more impact if you could provide a source.

This is wrong. What you see as fragments are security boundaries for others.

Mostly it’s the other way around: attackers follow MS „security software“ to get deep into your systems.

I was laughing recently when at some place they started to install MS software on all Linux machines to integrate them into Azure. At that point you should just stop and think for a while about it. Didn’t you go for Linux because you wanted

There is no way around trying yourself. Stop wasting time asking people for their opinions about frameworks and start building your own insights from first hand experience.
