Want to see my bills? I don't shred paperwork until 3 years go by, so they're around somewhere. We were able to afford it, though it did take a good chunk of our retirement income away. And it was less in previous years. The goal

Hmm. It wasn't that we didn't have coverage -- that's a separate penalty instilled by the ACA. It was that, after 65, you're supposed to be on Medicare. Period. And they way they enforce it is they charge you extra when

As I mentioned elsewhere, the MA covers the same health center we've used for 40+ years as a HMO. I've had no issues with getting stuff approved. Her surgery was approved in less than a month and it's scheduled in a month. Sh

Sorry for the lack of an immediate response. Yes, both of us are over 65. The insurance was a high end PPO with no lifetime max and $20 copay. My wife is a cancer survivor, and I take drugs to minimize my cancer risk. Additionally, the prem

I can speak about an apparently non-scam Medicare Advantage plan that my wife and I are on. It is effectively a PPO (similar to the Kaiser plan someone else mentioned), so we have access to exactly the same physicians that we had already wh

Perhaps because rich people would pay more, so they tell their pet legislators that bill better not pass? It's always about the money. I'm not saying this is actually true -- it's just my hypothesis.

Am I missing something? I completed a picture with two rotations left, and nothing happened. I was optimal in the number of rotations (always 1 or 2 rotations.) I checked I was right by clicking the eye. The cute cat just sits there...

Can you explain why one ICU room costs millions, and why they cost 10k a day even if no one is in them? Neither makes sense to me. I can imagine say 100k in monitoring equipment in a room. Maybe it's the hospital inflation applied to e

You mean, you'd kill yourself 30,000x faster 8-). If it matters to communicate outside, sure. But if you're inside a synthworld with everyone at the same timebase, it's not a problem. Essentially, you're evolving 30,000x

"very hard" -> formidable ? I don't agree because there are multiple interpretations. I would have liked multiple results, e.g., formidable, diamond-like, arduous, etc. In other words, don't use this site blindly.
