I don’t know how tech sales work so I’m speaking from an uneducated place here - but is 4.5 months enough time to close any sales? I imagine that at least a month of that 4.5 months is spent onboarding and shadowing someone else to see how

Interesting. Do you still find yourself using search at all to verify answers? I’ve found it useful for getting the general gist of something, but anything that requires something beyond the surface - I always end up having to verify becaus

It’s really cool that you’re doing this for yourself… but reading this also makes me kinda sad that solitaire gets flooded with ads.

Not quite 25% according to these numbers ( https://stockanalysis.com/stocks/googl/employees/ ), but yeah, that’s a huge chunk. If they cut 30k from their current ~182k headcount though, that puts them back at 1

I agree that these are all valuable things for a software engineer to learn, but in my experience, it’s valuable to at least take a crack at the projects listed in the post. I wasn’t under any illusion that I was going to build anything ama

I’m guessing they really want to accelerate to be able to compete against OpenAI, which has billions to work with, thanks to Microsoft.

I really don’t understand GR’s popularity. The community is toxic, and the app is almost unusable.

Wonder if they were really cutting it close with funding, were in talks to raise another round, and then the conversations all fell through.

Please tell me they don’t teach cursive anymore. I remember being fed the lie that I would have to use cursive as an adult. I don’t even really write anymore…

If you’re in the US, you’re basically just asking for the tax rate to return to what it was in the 1950s.

I want AI to improve things. Unfortunately, the US spending so much on healthcare every year is a policy problem and I don’t think it’s something AI can easily solve.

Phoenix requires a little more futzing around than Yabai, but I like it much better. I had tried Yabai and had to switch back to Phoenix because of all the problems stated here about Yabai. It’s fewer bells and whistles out of the box, but

Can you explain a little more about why you think that? I’m likely wrong here, but I was under the impression that companies start adopting the BSL when they notice their OSS product is being forked and used by other companies for profit an

I don’t really hold onto any hope it’s coming out anymore… take this from someone who started the series as a preteen when A Feast for Crows came out. I’m now 30.
