I think you may be mixing up some memories? tortoiseCVS was (is?) a Windows product and has nothing to do with BBEdit (which only runs on MacOS). I don't recall BBEdit ever imposing restrictions on CVS repositories (and I used it exten

That is pretty amazing. Kudos to the authors, I never would have believed emulating an Apple II on an 8088 in a way that is actually usable would be remotely possible. The story in the README is also worth reading! E.g. > At the time we

The x86-64 extension was made by AMD, though, not by Intel. So if at all the license would have to be obtained from AMD... Interestingly, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X86-64 says this: > x86-64/AMD64 was solel

You can do so by defining a custom keyboard layout. This is quite convenient with Ukelele https://software.sil.org/ukelele/ : you can take any existing layout (e.g. the one that is currently active) and then change all

Maybe because tons and tons of software build with GNU make, not with Ninja, and if you want to be able to build that software, you need GNU make? Also, Ninja by itself is not really a replacement for GNU make. Rather it's a tool one c

To be fair, the your second link points to the documentation of an ancient version; the new docs don't seem to mention semver (I still don't think what they are doing is reasonable, but ...)
