PEAR has had a lot of issues, but recently the PEAR community is addressing them. For instance you do NOT have to deal with the PEAR process if you want to use PEAR to distribute your code. You may setup your own channel* and do whatever yo

Nice! Low power usage is great, but I would like my data to be protected as well. Usually manufactures of devices like this are lacking in making sure my data is protected. After checking the specs I'm missing (for me at least) two basic re

In my experience commercial vs non-commercial is a can of worms. Not to mention that using it for code is not recommend as you can read on the Creative Commons website. Especially if you (the one licensing your work) are not including a def

You are correct. If you have more questions do not hesitate to contact Creative Commons. As a former CC Netherlands team member I can assure you they are very willing in answering your questions. Do not forget that there are also some CC ma

Simonw, have you considered using other methods than Twitter for signing in? I don't feel comfortable tying services together both as a user and as developer. I'm curious as why have you chosen for to only allow signing in with Twitter?

I guess the average person assumes that a higher version number implies a 'better' (define your own interpretation) product. Seems Google is joining that particular use of version numbers as marketing. And to be honest, to some degree I can

I haven't read all comments on this, but I get the feeling a lot of HN-ers are not too fond of the article. Personally it struck a chord with me. In a previous life I worked at a non-profit aimed at doing 'R&D' in a social context (yes,

I agree with WilliamLP: It would really make this a lot more interesting if the process of the implementation of this game was documented as well. Nonetheless this is pretty cool especially given the constraints of fitting it in 10K.
