I've been doing the same thing. Morning is my productive time of the day. I work from home, so before I take a shower I make a pot of coffee and then after shower I get on it. If I can accomplish a couple (maybe only one) things in t

You can make your own decisions about who you want to trust with your data without that law being in place. The only thing that law does is wall off Europeans from the rest of the world. This is the just the beginning of "protection&qu

It's better for you to be honest in your comments since you know nobody will ever be extradited for this law.

Either these laws or will be ignored or more and more business will move out of European countries to abide by this law, which Europe really can't afford. I'll happily ignore this law.

That sounds great. If you're not practicing the theory you're learning, then it's just slipping away into oblivion. I've always said that traditional computer science programs should really be split up into the "th

In how many years will it be that you can't opt-out? And then the next step will be since you can't opt-out, and you're dying anyway and someone else needs your organs...well, maybe they pull the plug a little early before y

Hear, Hear. At the same time, Typescript's type system is getting so complicated, and the syntax so fugly because of it, that I'm tempted to go back to straight ES6.

And you don't mention that once the Bolsheviks won the civil war, that tens of millions of Russians were murdered, put in concentration camps, starved under communist rule.

They used to have 6 free months of Pluralsight, and then went down to 3 free months of everything if you just signed up for Visual Studio Code/Azure/...whatever that is.

The Black Book is a classic. Obviously, much of the material is dated, but Abrash is a great writer. IIRC, there's some tidbits in there about Carmack's approach to getting BSP into Quake...or maybe that was Masters of Doom.

That means cats must have a daily visual contact with other felines, and hamsters or guinea pigs must be kept in pairs. And anyone who flushes a pet goldfish down the toilet is breaking the law. Say what? So in Switzerland I can go to jai

I've bought courses on Udemy, and they have some quality content. But they've always seemed kind of shady with the whole "$200, now $10.99 with 2 days left". If you buy something, make sure you buy it in incognito mode

Just don't use redux. Maybe one day there will be a decent, ergonomic framework on top of the flux architecture, but redux ain't it. Try mobx state tree for all the benefits that redux has without the pain. Vuej seems nice enough

As an aside (and since you brought up snapshots), mobx state tree https://github.com/mobxjs/mobx-state-tree seems to have combined the ease of use of Mobx with the power (and beyond) of Redux and its ecosystem. I watch

I've always envied the JVM's class reloading abilities. Edit-n-continue in Visual Studio has so many "it doesn't work if you do this" cases, that's it next to useless. I would love to be able to put the C# deb
