I don't say otherwise, but there is a difference between using a platform and using a language directly.

Yes, I don't say it's wrong, I'm just curious.

Framework != CMS Most wordpress freelancers don't code, they configure or install plugins. Somebody using rail, django or laravel is going to code.

I still don't know what GNOME target audience is. I have yet to find a gnome shell user that doesn't use tons of plugins. It's like the GNOME dev never actually puts mockups in the hand of real users before starting to code.

The best way is to hire a front end designer that has done the learning for you.

In that case I'll make an exception, but this is actually very rare. I can see a clear correlation between terrible english and terrible code.

Easy doesn't mean productive. My guess is that you take 2 to 3 times longer to time such sentence.

I know a lot of devs that don't even type with 5 fingers, you are apparently well trained with your keyboard and you take a X3 hit.

That's a recipe for combinatorial explosion: each language has special chars or even are just made if glyphs, are you going to learn them all? Do you want to impose the burden for all devs in the world? And now your typing is not at al

The kind of code you talk about are usually internal only. People don't write libs, framework or main stream language in those situation. In that case, then it's ok to bite the bullet, to avoid the worst case scenario. But you are

> It wouldn't be bad at all if programming languages were localizable. It wouldn't be bad indeed, it would be terrible. I wouldn't be against some IDE add-ons allowing you to see the keywords in your language if you wish,

How does it manage to stay up to date? It's crucial for youtubedl which breaks regularly because youtube changed something and you now need the latest version.

Thank you. > The key difference is that we don’t actually invoke the code with concrete values, but rather treat it like a set of constraints that should always be satisfied How does that work with a dynamic language such as Python?

Bio tech is fascinating those days. The anti-aging community, the athletes and the nutrition crowd are so enthusiastic it created a wave of funding and activity. Of course, quantity doesn't mean quality, but you can find some real gems

No, the main benefits of ORM are not to avoid to learn SQL, they are: • syntactic sugar and language/tooling integration for very common operations; • a centralized data access API to build upon, that you would have to create anyway wi

I already can compile python using "make altinstall", nuitka is more suited to compile a whole python project. The problem is more, as you said, libc, for compat.
