Most apps rationale for subscriptions is "Ongoing development" without an option like jetbrains etc. to fall back to a perpetual license. In practice, regardless of whether an app needs ongoing development or not, this is the best

I made the same realization two weeks ago. Posted about it here, where I rebuilt bare bones todoist with a habit tracker, goal setting and more within a few vibe coding sessions: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46633092

AI written article about AI usage, building things with AI that others will use to build their own AI with. The future is now indeed.

While I do have some experience with vibe coding, this could've been done by my wife who has little tech knowledge. That's the scary part. My flow was to open 3 terminals, ask AI to work on some feature in each, check how it looks

The whole UI is a mess IMO. Words put on new line while 40% is still available on a macbook 16'. One letter of the second title is put on a new line as well in "Transformation". Looked through 3-4 articles. The content is rat

That's what I was thinking as well after letting Claude do a godoist clone in a few vibe coding sessions. Literally got most features I care about with a ui similar to todoist with all the bootstraping done. Deploying to my nas later t

Similar experience here. Did sign up for Claude Code myself this week, too, given the $10/month promo. I have experience with AI by using AWS Kiro at work and directly prompting Claude Opus for convos. After just 2 days and ~5-6 vibe c

Could you estimate how much was written by AI vs you? Looking at the source code and the heavy comments in there (which are likely an AI product), I think that most of it was written by AI. Same with the whole docs directory. google says th

Looking at the Screenshots, this would've taken days/weeks e.g. 5 years ago. Now this seems to be vibe coded in 2 sessions. Crazy world we live in.

So is it useless or useful? You write one but then describe the other (compared to other products in the same category seems value add for sure)

Long time synology user. Switched 3 weeks ago to ugreen. They rolled back their fiasco decision about drives (synology), but I wanted some good hardware in 2025. Everything that synology offers is outdated and slow. Got myself a 6800 pro. I

Ugreen has it. It has conditional albums in which one can setup rules like person, file type, location, anniversary and more and share a live album. Or leave all params empty and simply mirror the entire library.

this seems rather basic. From watching a bit, it just seems to cut/combine the videos? No transitions, no bg music which would fit nicely with the cut timing etc. I am waiting for a tool that does stuff along those lines for a long tim

Was intrigued by the company due to the drama last year. Periodically checked their github/homepage. Now stumbled over this video. Seems the YC backed company didn't pan out.

Going 35-45kmh, most of what you hear is wind. Cars approaching 80kmh and beyond on a country rode. Garmin warns me 5+ seconds before the car passes me. I hear the car usually around 1s before it does (if that). Listening music (bone conduc

Looking at the repo, everything seems too clean and pristine. There's only 5 commits. Not that it matters, but was the whole thing vibe coded? If so, I wonder if mentioning this in the Readme would be helpful to potential users.
