I'd recommend using [Apollo]( https://apolloapp.io/ ) on iOS and Apple silicon MacOS devices. I use that almost exclusively these days, as their web interface is absolute ass by comparison (their own reddit app is as wel

The same is true for military standards, and potentially some police forces (SWAT). Of course this should have nothing to do with a board position. Perhaps women would actually excel in board positions as those mostly have to do with buildi

I really dislike using the phrasing oligarch, when you can compare it to actual oligarchs. People like putin and his close ‘friends’ who use and force economic downturns so they can buy up national companies and markets so they own most of

It's basically taking the "Thoughts and prayers" under a Facebook post to the next level. It would be fine if the banner was close-able or displayed once a day or something along the lines of that. The problem isn't that

Also if you look at the code samples he provides they often don't follow his own rules. (At least that was the case when I read the book, don't know if it's been revised since)

I just checked it on my Mac and my Ubuntu server. MacOS has version 3.2.57(1) Ubuntu has version 5.0.17(1) Apparently Apple cites license concerns as the reason for not upgrading it. Don't know how valid that is. License on version 3.2

The 16" MBP already had the thermal design improvements, there was a firmware issue for a short time after release that caused the thermal throttling, after they fixed that it was on par with the XPS with the same chip. The older ones

You can run linux on it if you want, for most productivity related issues there are open source tools like [Rectangle]( https://rectangleapp.com ) for what you're talking about. other tools like the Dash app are also amazing

It's really noticable when reading/writing text. I personally do dev work for a living and when I have to use a FHD screen instead of a UHD screen it's really noticable. It's kind of like going from 144Hz back to 60Hz wh

I think most people assume totalitarian regime that's interested in at the very least being the economic powerhouse of the world, won't have good intentions with collecting everyone's data. A far better assumption than: "

I'm using a linear columnar split keyboard now (moonlander from zsa, redox from falbatech before that). That has done much more to reduce strain than anything else I tried. I would also highly recommend getting a trackball, personally

I've been using it since 2 weeks now. It's a great keyboard. I was using the redox-wireless before this which is also really good and quite a bit cheaper. but the moonlander helps with my RSI and CTS more than the redox did. Got t

You need to do that 7 days a week? Did you do that before the pandemic as well? I assume you'd go out and meet some people? Sports? Other out-of-house activities, that's all time you can use as "you" time now.

I threw out a laptop I had from 2008 that was at the time top-of-the-line 3000$. I bought it in the US when I was there on vacation. This was when the dollar was at such a low that I got the device for at the time the equivalent of somethin
