Chat bots can be fun and semi useful for a while (talking about the 1990s to early 2000s IRC factoid and other bots [1]) but people get tired of them and kick+ban them from the server after a bit. I will admit that getting 2 or 3 of them

So blocks are just happening on public open resolvers and not on the TLD servers? What's stopping people from standing up their own DoH servers? It only takes a few minutes. Install Unbound and see if it was compiled with libnghttp2

I use my own VPN mesh running Tinc [1] and some here use Wireguard. I've used corporate VPN's for work in the past. Never tried one of the commercial anonymizing VPN's. Article mentions proxies. Over my Tinc VPN I like to

It sounds like we share some similar tactics. Some day you should make an article about your setup.

I understand your concerns. I personally do not share these concerns though I did when I resided in California that is for sure. I know just about everyone at my ISP. I know where many of them live. We all live in the same small tight kn

Has anyone else experienced this? Not I. I also use canary email aliases. Perhaps someone brute forced your login? Perhaps email dang and share what IP addresses/ranges your login should show up from and ask if any logins do not m

I am doing exactly that. I have Unbound running on my firewall/router running Alpine Linux and everything talks to port 443 (DoH). I only set up public DoH servers when people are asking for one or if I am going to be out and about.

I do not have an answer to your question but if a company is not paying people contact the labor board in their state/province and report them. Example for the US [1]. Everyone not being paid should do the same. The risk of course i

They like money. Controversial is not illegal. Slander is. If I purchase billboard space and spread defamation that will be problematic. The ISP could always take me to court but they would very likely lose provided I can prove I am tel

There are but I will wait until all the authoritative resolvers support TLS. If I wanted to hide my traffic from my ISP then I would just use DoT from my firewall Unbound instance to a few Unbound instances I already have around the web.

Clone this repo [1] and then edit the domain names and resolvers to your liking. It will be something close to what you might be looking for. [1] - https://github.com/cleanbrowsing/dnsperftest

When all the authoritative servers support TLS I can enable TLS outbound but very few of them do at the moment. At some point someone is decrypting, turtles all the way down. I could of course just do DoT to another instance of Unbound so

I use Unbound locally as a DoH server. The Alpine Linux Unbound package is compiled with libnghttp2, required for the built in DoH listener . That's more than enough to enable ECH [1]. I pre-cache all the domains I use hourly via cr
