It's not an all-or-nothing. If you live in a society that really devalues everything you like, having that online outlet is the difference between giving up on life[1], and being passionate. Imagine being told you're broken becaus

I've used git for many years and never remembered the command `git reset -p`. I'd have to look it up. Since that's a pain, I simply didn't. Whereas with jujutsu, after learning it once, I never looked up `split`. And i

I think by almost everyone. Crater Lake is a pretty special lake: It was formed purely from rainwater into a crater over the last 7000 years. It is still the clearest lake in the world. With fish, however, came a whole ecosystem. When fish

I don't let LLMs make commits for me - git or jj. OK, OK - I lie. For personal projects I do - some handle jj decently well. But at work I don't let it make any commits ... and it never tries to. What tools are you using that won&

Related: Fish were introduced to Crater Lake in the US a little over a hundred years ago, and is generally considered to have been the wrong thing to do. If you go there, you're free to fish to your heart's content.

I felt that way because my prior RAW editing tool did photo organization/collections. But when I switched to Darktable, I didn't really miss it. I have a simple organization: Year/description/YYYY-MM-DD/* (So 2026&#

You shouldn't. But I point it out because people keep posting "Ditch Gimp. Use Krita instead." Krita's better for painting. Gimp's better for photo editing.

Upvoting you, because I actually use Gimp. While it has its headaches, for photo editing it's still the best after Photoshop. (Yes, still better than Krita). But this is all a digression, as Lightroom/Darktable are not Photoshop
