It looks like you still just use delaunay triangulation on the points on the surface of the sphere. And then he is connecting the resulting vertices with lines along the surface of the sphere. The lines look straight from head on, but are c

I was really excited for a new geo database, especially one involving Go. But, this is extremely limited. I could see some uses for it, but how does it do when you are storing hundreds of millions of points (or more) rather than a few milli

Very interesting. This contradicts how Google advertises the service though. They say the transition is seamless. Unless they are playing fast and loose with the definition of seamless, this does not seem to qualify. According to their webs

Would it also be possible to add the times to each step? It would be interesting to compare the time vs reported distance. I suspect the times for some hops will be impossibly fast due to bad geo-ip lookups.

That is an awesome link, thanks. It is really mind blowing to look at the target distance for each of them and see how fast it is approaching Pluto.

The title for this seems a bit off. The programmers asked the AI what morality is, the AI did not ask what morality is.

Ok, very valid point. But if everyone is doing it to everyone else and everyone knows it, then what does 'getting caught' actually do? Why bother feigning outrage at it?

Not saying that it excuses any of the actions, nor am I trying to be inflammatory, but I have a serious question. Does anything really think that France, or Germany, or any other nations is not doing the exact same thing to the US? All gove

That is definitely odd, though it does make some sense in this case. Andy Weir has done a huge amount of research about traveling to Mars, and asking for his opinion about Elon's ideas is interesting. I would definitely prefer if they

The number of miles / times / airlines that have been flown has no relationship to the Pre Check. It is literally a background check, which your mother passed. Meaning she is lower risk than others who have not.
