How do you know they have motivations to work? Do they also have qualifications to work? Why do you assume this planet needs billions of people to function?

Reality and ideal are different existences. It's not always healthy to accept reality as a constant fact.

That's the thing, you could just game the system to your advantage and gain power. We know that in a controlled environment like academia and science, this produces inferior results overall. Mixed form Nash equilibria work on a relativ

How do you know that it's better? In my experience, everything is reencoded and lossy.

This all sounds terribly inefficient and suboptimal. Anything to escape meritocracy.

So much complaining. Look, someone telling you to read a manpage and integrate an existing solution is not elitism or sociopathy. Coupled with several factually wrong statements about "inherent security" and spyware. I didn't

Wonder if Matlab's C++ auto-generated code is competitive in performance.

They're not. I never think "Greetings, potential courtship participant. Shall we exercise a barter of hormones?" That's a maladjusted type of thinking.

You sound like you're on the spectrum, like you can't "feel" human emotion and see it as objective and transactional.

It's an impostor because it doesn't belong in the kernel. Or anywhere else for that matter - look at Firefox sources. It just causes fragmentation and its security is yet to be proven. From my POV, it's just written by people

And these scripts allow me to mold Windows into something more usable, no need to jump ship.

"Just don't use windows" is not a solution. Ameliorated works, whether you believe in security whataboutism or not.

I don't understand the question. Sub-slices are not sub-strings. They are partially constructed objects. But I do get the problem.

What's wrong with null termination? No, seriously. It's much cleaner than wasting an argument, hence CPU register, for a second pointer. Or heavens forbid, two size_t length and capacity counters.

Rust is evidently an impostor language.

My provider gives me a EON set-top-box which is just a smartphone with a ethernet and HDMI port. It's always connected as it's internet-based TV. This is the sad state of reality.

We simply don't have better kernels. POSIX is the epitome of infrastructure. That's it. We did it. It's like asking for something more than Turing completeness - we have everything, just optimise the existing code. To that en

If by "replace" you mean "nobodies rewrite existing crap into Rust", then yes.

Not just HTML. If we want a static web, we could write the whole thing out in stack automata like PostScript. Very simple.

I'm not justifying it. I'm explaining to you the rules because you don't understand them and are posting knee jerk reactions online. If it were up to you, Ukraine would have actually waved the white flag and become a satellit

My coffee shop doesn't accept coins at all be it usdc or whatever. When I wave over a POS terminal, are these USDC converted to USD on the spot like a bank transaction?

You are making things up and it's not really an argument. You show a lack of understanding of game theory. War is a game of incentives, and if you can control them, you can avoid war as a whole. Taiwan likely won't commit scorched

It is. Especially if you go down the source builds and compiler optimisation rabbit hole. Before you know it, you're reading Phoronix every day for benchmarks. Next thing you're fixing your gentoo USE flags at 4:17 in the morning.

Modern games are jam packed with content to the point of FOMO. There's so much baggage for just sitting down and having fun for an hour. Look at Elden Ring - who cares about "weapon arts" and sneaking? Upgrades and infusions.
