Russia is extremely efficient. Look at what sort of military they have with their defense budget vs the USA.

Interesting you should ask that, I had a lot of problems in college with distraction so it's something of a goal to be concentrated outside my house. Call it a coping mechanism.

Why can't Pine64 make $400 pinebook pros? I'd happily purchase a device that does something in 21st century standards.

"We suck at driving, you should compensate." Nope. It's normal to expect technology to outdrive humans, not struggle to reach us.

So who's going to pay for that? Tesla? No, tech companies will just hide a "Not actually self-driving, driver takes full responsibility" sticker near the VIN. It'll be easy to blame the human for negligence then.

It's not a worthwhile tradeoff because erroneously functioning humans are still there, and this tech enables them! Today it's crashing a car, tomorrow it's forgetting to walk your dog or pick up your kids. Mindless humans are

It's easier than ever to make any game and Netflix is known for miniseries. What this means is it's easier than ever to push a commercial product. My response is, well, how much money do game devs expect to make in non-original ga

I can afford to buy the latest 7nm components, with TDP no more than I need, undervolt them to my performance specifications, use them their entire functional lifetime or sell them to someone. Either way, these are components fully utilised

You will buy Stadia. You will purchase temporary licenses for limited access to games (one per platform). You will own nothing and be happy.

Warning shots, single shots to the leg, and all less lethal short of 40mm grenade to the head/neck has proven wildly inconsistent at stopping an attacker. Remember the Tueller drill, there is no time for reaction, only action - that me

Is this what American education sounds like? Do you recall that European nations practically ruled the world at different times in history and gladly took in and integrated foreigners? Unlike Americans who mostly wiped out the natives and g

No, we don't. We have millenia-old nations that have been through what the US is about to be. We've had enough wars, treaties, territory shift, that everyone's family tree is nomadic. To put it simply, there's more cultu

It's very hard to take ads seriously. I only know about and use ~10 websites. Everything else could shut down tomorrow and I wouldn't know. Sorry, ad agencies, it's a lost battle for you.

No, I responded to the way you talk, as if one downvote or one upvote is a deciding factor when it clearly isn't. Yet you seem to put nonzero weight to it when 99% of votes usually stay anonymous.

Closest I can recommend is FreeDOS to run games natively. It's so good but the drivers are very basic. It does have a package manager.

Ah yes I remember the 1440p 144hz CRT's. Wait, no I don't. I think the best feature CRTs could provide was the purely analogue display chain in older models. Super fast "response time" and clarity.

Why would you be an "AI expert" to make judgements on AI? In fact, it's more politically consistent to have equal representation. We already know what AI experts believe - make money in the end.

What you described is a planned dopamine release you have to pay for. I was under the impression the gameplay itself is there to make you have fun - if you have lootboxes, you're compensating for gameplay, or more likely, are doing it
