This here is the important next step for ARM SBCs. A working UEFI. Maybe they can get together and standardize something they can work on together. But this whole SD card flashing nonsense needs to stop.

Of course that is true but with AI you can add documentation and tests. You can have absolut garbage with all green tests. We do human reviews on PRs but in the end it's your code that you have to stand behind.

We have a simple rule: You commit it, you own it. If you vibe coded it that's okay. If it's garbage that's on you. Blaming the LLM doesn't count. So of course you have to read the code. You have to read it and understand

I just don't like using a permissive open source license as a booster for your software and then changing it when others make money. Either start as a closed source/source available project or find another way to make money. This

I stronlgy dislike Go's error handling. It is incredibly annoying to add if err != nil { <do stuff> } after nearly every function call and to have a error as a secondary return type. At least for me it is clunky an

I always wonder what kind of setups people have where docker destroys their network config. I have used Docker on so many systems over so many years and several distros and not once have I encountered that. Same with people who say that sys

Senior engineers made the mess. Because "I just need to fix this now. I'll commit it later". CI/CD gives you stronger guarantees. You can know which code is now in prod. That is so much harder to ensure when there is hum

We used to do similar things. Then devs pushed stuff to prod without committing them. Then things broke when pushing the version that was in git. Then I forced everything into docker. Things got better. If you want to do things fast invest

I don't think that would work. The IPv6 Notation is only the human representation. Inside the package it is a 128 bit integer. IPv4 addresses can already be put there. The problem is that everyone still needs to support a package with

I wouldn't mind the delays that much if we had more direct connections between cities. But the reality is that you book a connection to another city, and that connection was never possible in the first place because of some constructio

How is that in any way realistic? Most people don't bootstrap Linux systems. And just because it is pre-installed doesn't make it safe. Most software on a modern Linux distribution is dynamically linked to several libraries which

The thing about DNS I like the least is that you are always at the mercy of a lot of other parties. You can never really own a domain, only rent it. You depend on the owner of the TLD you use to keep honoring your contract and they depend o
