I think that was unintentional. What a I read from DanBC's comment was that it was referring to the fact you stated the court found that it was for breaking the DVD, not for playing it back. . Just because the court said that the problem

I think the biggest problem is definitions. Keep in mind that copyright means very different things internationally. Let's compare the CC0 text to this one. Note that I'm not a lawyer, and this is mostly conjecture, but pulled from a reason

You're really just making the case that organizations with these hiring processes are terrible both ethically and as a place to work. I'm sure the NSA has an annoying hiring process too.

Agreed. I've handled over 100,000 messages with it with no problem, and I know people that have handled well over that. Instant full-text search, no matter how much mail you throw at it.

If I understand both correctly, the issue with network jitters is you need a large number of samples for each packet from which you are trying to get timing information. This causes the total samples to increase to less obtainable numbers.

I think there is more to train toilets than that. You need somewhere for the wast to go, and waste disposal, cleaning, maintenance, stocking all have to be done on a regular basis.

I think adding "Does this code represent a risk to others in some way" to that is also valid. Especially in the security realm, but even in day to day stuff. If code is going to cause other people headaches, help them avoid that.

The article's point is that you have to download it from the web via the repos to do this. Which seems like an incredibly silly and inconsequential thing to write an entire article about.
