It's good to see STG praised here. I context switch often, and am so much more productive because of this plugin.

Now that GitHub has CI and MSFT money, it would make so much sense for GitHub to become a code signing CA! With npm, you can opt in to have your npm package releases signed, and it took less than five minutes for me to integrate. As long as

Friendly reminder that none of the PHP 4,5, AND 7 series receive active security support, and are EOL. PHP 7.4 still receives some updates from LTS vendors, and PHP 8.0 reaches EOL Nov 23rd.

I guess there will be one last release towards Nov 23, because I'm already seeing some activity ( https://github.com/php/php-src/commits/PHP-8.1/ ).

Those cheap laser "1D" bar code scanners cannot read off a screen (except maybe eInk). It sucks because the supermarkets I frequent have their loyalty cards based off barcodes. Fortunately, barcode readers emulate keyboards so you

HTTP/3 is supported in Nginx 1.25, available from nginx.org's repo. I tried it a couple days ago, and worked great. None of the Nginx builds available out there seemed to fit my use cases perfectly, so I resolved to customize it (

Yeah I've built quite a lot of muscle memory having used Apache for about a decade too, and the configuration felt quite intuitive, but Caddy's configuration is such a fresh breath and I'm really enjoying it so far. More than

Funny, I saw this on HN while I was taking a break from testing Caddy, which has HTTP/3 support, and is even enabled by default. I suppose it's based on Go's implementation. I'm using Apache at the moment and it's w

I'm using Xiaomi 20,000 mAh power bank, and passthrough works great. Mine only supports 18W out, when I have my 30W charger plugged in, the power bank charges as well.

Unfortunately I don't think it's possible. The router can only intercept as far as DNS goes, and DNS Blocklists are already incapable of blocking YouTube ads.

I meant the long static passwords Yubikeys "type" when you touch the button when plugged in. It's just a static long text that has no context.

I haven't used BitLocker or anything else, so I can't really compare. Veracrypt has a neat benchmark tool so you know the speed beforehand. I suppose most CPUs have native support for the popular algorithms, so the bottleneck real

Not the previous poster, and I don't use Kopia, but after reading Kopia features and docs, they seem to be in par. I use Duplicati quite extensively for personal backups, and didn't really have any issues. Duplicati has a web inte

Nobody should be using DNS service provided by their registrars. They tend to be insecure, slow, and like you said, missing a lot of features.
