- Use Ed25519 keys. They are now supported in pretty much every server out there (all recent OpenSSH versions, GitHub, GitLab, etc). RSA 2048 keys are unbreakable for the foreseeable future, and using 4096 bit keys are just being paranoid

But why? All SSH/GPG private keys will be in the same storage anyway, and it doesn't provide any security advantage in case a key is compromised. They are already computationally impossible to brute Force too. Isn't the point

I use maps.me, and there are several user-contributed walking trails. For unmarked trails, I draw a few trails using Google Earth Pro, and export it to maps.me, which will then draw the waypoints and trail on the map. There are communities

I'm on my 10th year freelancing remotely, and I was going to write a post about it too, but focus in the negative sides of it. The internet is full of positives (no commute, pets, etc), but it's not all fun and games either. There

I use a combination of paper maps and an overview map on paper. For trails like Annapurna circuit or Everest Base Camp, the paper leaflets are quite helpful as they help you plan the hike by days. However, I prefer the digital maps, special

Totally agree with this. It's faster to prototype with Tailwind though, if you remember the class names well.

Cmder builds on top of cmd.exe, and Windows Terminal is on PowerShell. Cmder has a super precise and verbose settings UI. WT is config file for now.

Go with a good US based host. Your current provider is absolutely one of the worst in the industry. This is my personal opinion of course, but their support, hardware, and networking have gone awful. Look for cloud VPS providers. Even their

If you are interested in reducing the font size, consider variable fonts. They are supported in pretty much every browser that matters. Although the file size is larger, it often is smaller when regular, italic, and bold variants put togeth

I think LetsEncrypt (ISRG) is one of the best examples when it comes to donations. They have a super small budget and a very small staff, but they single handedly made pretty much every web site today encrypted. One billion certificates iss

I was born and raised in Sri Lanka, where the annual GDP per capital just hovers $4,000 now. We have free and universal health care, free schools, and free universities. There are many things to improve, but it is there for the rush and poo

I don't think there is an effective way to distinguish bots from real users when a UA is faking what it is. IP filtering or other measures can help, but you ultimately rely on the UA strong from the UA.

How can someone "reference" an old certificate with CT data? CT logs only contain precerts and certs, right? I suppose one could compare the public key of two leaf certificates, but reusing the private key is also a bad practice.

Not sure about Norway, but in the Netherlands, you have to note down the PUK code. You can't get a replacement SIM card without PUK code. This is for prepaid though.
