Essentially if the news orgs have the ability to cancel you, you don't apply. Considering the amount of funding the news orgs in Canada take from the government, seems like the government just wants a better stick.

I think it is an apt comparison, since social media companies don't need to extract monetary value from every single individual, unlike rent, and do run their orgs for large amounts of time in the 'red' thanks to VC money. Wh

Try not paying your taxes and see what happens. We have always been reduced to producers of monetary value for an intermediary. We pretend we are in control of that intermediary, and maybe once we were. Much like the beginning of every soci

Reddit is like a crowdsourced wiki. It goes wide and does a decent job on a variety of topics, but drastically fails when you need to go deep.

Passkeys require the cloud to be ever present. Maybe on Venus where the clouds never go away, but on Earth all it takes is some rain, and suddenly you have clear skies. I'll stick with keepassxc on my personal laptop, rather than put i

Never have I felt this worse than with 1Password. The migration off is not pleasant because what they had and did well spoiled me so.
