Such a lie. Western people (mostly the US, but Europeans also) pollute by FAR the most per person. Whatever China pollutes is mostly _also_ for western people, because they produce most of our crap.

You can't tell Oil companies to stop producing oil, if as a consumer you still drive a gasoline car that uses tons of oil. Both the supply and the demand need to be tackled. As long as we keep importing cheap plastic crap from China, f

Google maps: I love checking out random places in the world. I then inevitably end up in the Wikipedia rabbit hole to research all sorts of details and history about those places.

Am I weird for being sad that they don't want to take any photos of the inside? I'd love to see what it looked like in the original setting. I guess I have a morbid curiosity.

There is an oversupply of people who only know how to train models and throw them over a wall to have someone else sort out the mess. There is an undersupply of technically skilled people who have the knowledge and experience to sort this m

There are payrolling companies that take care of all this. They have subsidiaries in every country, will give your remote employees all the things they have a right for according to the local laws, and send you an invoice.

I'm pretty sure Bill Gates has a way way bigger net positive impact on the environment than you, or almost any of us here. Just because he is rich doesn't mean he has a net negative impact. Rich people like him have the money and

The different is that Mt Gox was run by a wildly incompetent guy. This one was just a plain scam. Especially back in 2013/2014 I have personally managed many exchanges "disappear". The excuse was usually that they were hacked

I agree that there is no intrinsic value here, but it's a " ponzi scheme" that has been going on for 12 years now, and there are no signs of this stopping. I think we can safely stop calling it a ponzi scheme. Otherwise, by t
