Core inflation is 4.8%, and that’s the number that’s usually used as a benchmark. These headlines are really starting to get on my nerves. When NPR was talking about it last night they threw a line in there about core inflation but the rest

The only way you’d know is to A/B test with a country with no copyright, and see how their authors get by. My guess is extremely poorly. Again, the biggest might be fine. Instead of publishers paying fairly little to authors they coul

A significant driver? Maybe not. Keeping a pause on them and trying to cancel a significant portion of debt while inflation was high just to buy votes? The media should have absolutely ripped into him on that. It certainly didn't he

I got my first credit card when I was twelve years old. This was back in the year 2000. It had something like a $10,000 credit limit. My parents didn’t co-sign, though I did use their incomes for the “household income,” which I don’t bel

While you didn’t touch on this, it’s usually somehow blamed on grocery stores, the government, etc. The problem is that the people in those areas simply don’t want real grocery stores. I’m not sure how you’d go about fixing that. Maybe, and

Most white/Asian people (especially men) living now haven’t really had any “systemic” advantages. It’s been the opposite for a while now. If you want to argue non-systemic, then maybe. There will always be some racist people out there,
