Kagi has some tooling for this. You can set web access “lenses” that limit the results to “academic”, “forums”, etc. Kagi also tells you the percentages “used” for each source and cites them in line. It’s not perfect, but it’s a lot better

The security researcher could definitely be arrested for this. He used employee credentials, and of course his friend got fired, it’s literally the first thing places tell you: don’t share your password.

Generall, yes. Unless you have a dedicated team to do the stuff for you. Crunchydata is a good starting point

I like how my current job structured their interview. They gave me a take home, said use whatever AI you want, just tell us which. The take home was the equivalent of a simple TODO app using their API (key provided). It took an hour to buil

Normally, I would agree with you, but if you are going to say it’s the best language, then the criticism is fair. Best language would be the entire ecosystem, including standard library

LLMs CAN be deterministic. You can control the temperature to get the same output repeatedly. Although I don’t really understand why you’d only want to store prompts… What if that model is no longer available?

The MCP attacks are really just due to bad token scoping. If you allow Y to do X, if an attacker takes control of Y, of course they can do X.

There are the issues others mentioned, but also you could write something word for word of what an LLM says. It’s statistically unlikely, but possible

Problem on a lot of teams is people skip over #2 in my experience. Good devs always do #2, bad devs skip it.

Yes? They have other capabilities, but that’s the primary value add. Imagine you are working for a fortune 100 company with hundreds of thousands of cloud resources. You can’t manage them individually.

When you use a cloud provider to setup a VM, what policies do you apply to it in order to ensure it’s secure? Wiz and other tools in the same space tell you and tracks compliance across your fleet. Idk if wiz does this, but their competitor

What about a license for devs to use when it’s commercial, but their company won’t buy it? Kind of like how Quokka has a “personal pro” license. https://quokkajs.com/pro/
