They still have youtube which is in a league of its own and while it may not be consiered a "social network" it's still definitely social media, arguably more than even TikTok could be considered as.

What would be the convention for using tailwind to style components in general?

There's nothing better about the wasted sidebar column. That's my biggest gripe anyway. I much prefer a centered design for the site.

This client is what I think of in my minds eye for a modern day MUD that still stays true to what a MUD is but has an accessible interface. Whoever designed the UI did a nice job.

Fast adhoc aggregations over firestore isn't a reasonable possibility. A graphql api or not doesn't really matter since that's just an abstraction for querying a service or database. I really mean something like an open sourc

All of these web tracker alternatives but what I've really been itching for is a very low barrier to entry, no hassle to scale, easy/fast to query adhoc event tracker. Something like a self hosted amplitude or keen.

I would also argue in direct contrast to the author that it makes a difference in terms of keeping interest. The new thing to learn in a dynamic ever changing landscape is also a way of staving off monotony. I legitimately don't care a

Isn't that the appeal for google's cloud run? A sort of go between from cloud functions/docker image.

Product definitely matters to a degree, but being able to sell people on it (ie. convince someone they need it) is a more important skill. That's obviously an insanely broad generalization, but so is me saying lots of people can write

Lots of people can write an app. At the end of the day you either have to get lucky with organic traction or be a little less lucky but be a relatively skilled marketer that has a good command of how to convert paid traffic.

That's pretty immaterial. I was just pointing towards the fact that the simplistic nature of the application in the first place only serves to further highlight the incompetence required for such a catastrophic failure.

It's funny because I'd bet most of the people that know how to program around here could write a similar app (and likely a betterone at that) in a matter of hours if they were so inclined.

Can also state I had good experience with them and that it's worth looking into. Needed a way to print custom labels and packing slips dynamically and Google Cloud Print was pretty obtuse comparitively.

Using software such as QMK you can program these custom boards to do anything. To answer your question all keys are accessible by turning whichever key you like into a modifier when held down so you can access another layer. It's not t

I'm not an "expert" but that feels just as insane as the npm argument people make. I'd love to hear from someone more in the know as to why they aren't the same.

The best argument I've seen is that it was inevitable AMZ would enter NYC to remain competitive in the multi faceted tech sectors flourishing there (as you point out in #4). There was no need to pay them to do it.

I think it's more so baffling this is only happening now (likely due to GDPR) considering how other big players have been doing this for quite some time. What I mean is it's innovation.
