Yeah, modern phones use multiple cameras to produce a single image. Would it be possible to produce a higher resolution photo using millions of images taken from millions of locations? I have no clue what I am talking about, but would love

Can one use millions of smaller detectors if one finds a way to point them in one direction and synchronize them to take pictures at the same exact moment? I mean, can millions of phone cameras make one giant virtual telescope?

A question: I skimmed through MSFS and Xplane API docs but could not find a way to fetch full camera image. Does anyone know of a flight sim (except MS AirSim) which would allow that? Please?

At low temps COP is lower, meaning you'll not get 4 units of heat for 1 unit of energy spent, but COP is still higher than 1 meaning using heat pump is still cheaper than using basic electric resistive heating. I think Northern England

Having a second passport provides an option to ditch US passport and stop paying US taxes at any moment. One basically pays to buy an option to stop being subject to US taxation at a moment of their choosing.

That article, basically, is an ad of an agency which helps with second passports.

Makes sense. Thanks! I am in NJ and my house has good insolation. And with all the federal and state incentives plus no-financing cash purchase solar panels may pay off just like installer is promising. I wish I had a larger and flatter roo

True! Assuming manufacturing will be +10% and installation will take 2x time and assuming half panel will produce half the power, my back of the napkin calculation suggests my solar roof would pay for itself not in 5 but in 6 years and woul

My old house has a roof with complex geometry which does not lend itself to rectangular solar panels. I wonder why triangles are not the standard shape for solar panels as triangular panels would be more efficient in tiling surfaces availab

Assuming $0.48 per kilowatt, that's 1875kW. At 7 km per kW that is 13 thousand kilometers or 8 thousand miles. That is about 400 miles per day every day in 3 weeks. Wow. A hypothetical Toyota Camry, btw, would have consumed more than

It is not a hard problem to solve and was/is being solved all around the world. If a developer is building not 60 homes but 6000 homes then they can be tasked to build a school, a few kindergartens, a fire station, cafes, grocery shop,

Each individual problem listed isn't that hard on its own. Some are even trivial. However there are so so many constraints one has to keep track of so system complexity quickly snowballs into something unmanageable. Each cog is simple,

Can somebody knowledgeable speculate why they are not using RCS to try turning the probe? I am guessing RCS engines can be reignited and don't need a certain orientation to work, right? Is Moon's gravity strong enough to cause dam
